Model

Cloud Studies is a new space for atelier-trained artists to reach a collector audience, including for their drawings and studies. We are located online and by appointment next to the Guggenheim Museum.

We offer collectors accessible works. We offer artists friendly and equitable terms, helping avoid price discovery and work associated with studio sales.

We plan to support artists with gallery events and via design-world online partnerships, with attention to artistic process, aspiration, and freedom.

Standard Terms

  • Cloud Studies focuses on beautiful studies and drawings at prices between $250 and $2,500, but may assist in marketing larger or more ambitious work. While work is understood to be priced affordably, we plan to avoid publicizing prices, using an inquiry-based system.

  • Each artist commits to placing only one or more small works at Cloud Studies as a collector reference and providing high-quality images for online sale. At all times, all work remains independently marketable by artists with no gallery fee. Pieces may be picked up from the gallery at any point.

  • Cloud Studies will sell work by appointment and via its website, marketing work online and with gallery events.

  • The gallery’s standard split will be 40/60 with the artist for all purchasers referred by the gallery.
